Hello Antonio,

i wants to do some changes in Blog module. so, i had done some changes like, i wants FirstName for the "Comment posted by" instead of UserName.

I got solution from this forum, http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/92/threadid/232910/scope/posts/Default.aspx.

But, now my problem is that, i had compiled this Blog module project and made Blog_03.04.00_Install.zip.

And then, i had unistall this Blog module from the DotNetNuke project and i tried to install new Blog_03.04.00_Install.zip. Installation was successful.
But changes is not reflected in DotNetNuke Project.

Please help me to solve this problem, why changes is not reflected in DotNetNuke project.

Thanks.

Hi Tushar,

before your changes to the source code are reflected on the module behavior there are some things you should check:

  • The code gets compiled in the relative assembly.
  • The assembly is included in the new install package.
  • The assembly in the /bin directory of the installation gets overwritten.

Also check in your dev environment if everything works fine with the compiled assembly, not the .ascx.vb files. Let me know if you need furthed help.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa
