Using DNN5 with Blog 3.5.1 in IE and Firefox, when the arrow is hovered for the drop down menu of module settings the menu does not appear in place only for the View Blog module.  Works fine on all other modules.  No custom css to blog or to module menu, and this happens with default Minimal Extropy and other skins.  Tried different doc types and that didn't help either.  Tried same blog version 3.5.1 with DNN4 and no problems.   In IE only, when moving the mouse over the arrow for the menu, the menu will appear in a different spot everytime you mouseover the menu arrow, but seems to be moving to the left and right at specific distance intervals, in other words not random places on the page but not where it's supposed to appear either.  If you move the cursor quickly enough, the menu can be used, but if the mouse is over "module settings" it will jump away from the cursor and not allow it to be selected.  In Firefox, the menu always appears at position 0,0 but the first menu item "module settings" is not selectable.   Very, very strange... Used Firebug to inspect the elements classes, but couldn't figure out what the cause of the problem is with the module menu placement in DNN5.

Hi Rick,

I faced the same issue with FF3: the menu is rendered in the 0,0 position, but the options are still selectable. This will need to be checked with the DNN 5 core members, to learn if some mayor changes have been made.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Ok.  Thanks, Dario.

FYI, I tried uninstalling the blog and installing earlier versions back to the blog version 3.03.00, and all versions of the blog are giving this behavior for me on DNN v5 in IE7 and FF2, and it is only the view blog module that does this, none of the other modules do this including non blog modules, so there must be something in DNN5 that is affecting just the view blog module.  This doesn't happen in DNN 4.06.02 - 4.09.0, I have several versions installed for testing and keep the legacy releases of DNN and modules on hand...

Hi Rick,

my understanding is that this affects only the Main View because it dynamically loads controls. But I am testing a custom module that dynamically loads controls under DNN5 and this doesn't happen, so this may be related to the menu actions.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa
