I have a requirement to change the entry date of blog post to re-order it in the listing.

The problem is the entry date field is unavailable for editing once the post is published.

Am I missing something?

I am using: DNN 4.08.04

Hi Cujo56,

unfortunately not, you don't miss anything: this feature is not supported. If you have host credentials you can however run this SQL script to alter your entry date as you wish:

UPDATE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}Blog_Entries
SET AddedDate = '2009-01-01 12:00:00.000'
WHERE EntryID = 'xxx'

Where you replace xxx the EntryID value from the address bar when browsing your entry. Let me know if you need further help.

Are there future plans to add some type of sorting method to Blog posts? If so, when? If not, do you know of any third party modules that provide that option?

Hi Cujo56,

the team i planning to rewrite the module and ship many new features in the upcoming 04.xx.xx version. Amongst them, there should be the ability to sort blog posts by number of views and rating. Since this may require deep changes to the data layer, it will take a serious testing before it will be available to the public.
