I would like to know if there is a way to disable the message: "You must be logged in and have permission to create or edit a blog" which appears when a non-registered user visits my blog?

Edit the View Permissions of the module (through the Settings page) to only be available to the same users/roles who have edit permissions.

Hope it helps,

Great thank you!  Just for clarification in case anyone else has this problem....the specific module which this message shows up in is the "New Blog"  module...also when I went in to the permission settings, I had to uncheck "Inherit View permissions from Page"  to set this for this specific module (IE - the "Page settings" were allowing non-registered visitors and normal users view this module). I hope that makes sense:)

I had the same issue. It is strange that out of the box the default is to allow a big red error message to show up.

Just to clarify to others, to remove this. go to the permission settings for the Blog Module and click an "X" for All Users, Registered Users, and Subscribers (as said above , you need to uncheck View permissions from page) . This will make it so that only the admins can add a blog, and removes the error message.

Hi everyone!

I want the BLOG module available to all registered users on my site. The problem was, when I checked the EDIT MODULE permission, that's the time the REGISTERED USERS can only add new blog and edit entries. If the EDIT PERMISSION was unchecked, the REGISTERED USERS is receiving the error message even they were logged in.

I tried inserting the BLOG module with PAGE EDITORS ONLY visibility settings but still no luck.

How can I resolve this?
