Hi everyone,

I added the blog module to our website, but when someone wants to post a comment, when viewing the blog, it says "login to add your comment" even though the user is already logged in.  The strange thing is that after clicking the blog's link, the links at the top right (the login/register links) that usually say "Logout" and "Username" when you are logged in, change to "Login" and "register" (even though the user is still logged in).  If I navigate to another page, then it changes back as if they were just logged in.

Is this a bug, or a configuration feature that I'm unaware of?

Thanks,

Kev

Ok, I think I figured out why it's assuming we're not logged in.  When the blog link is clicked, it goes to http://ourdomain.com/blahblah... instead of http://www.ourdomain.com/blahblah...

I'm not sure why the blog links aren't including the "www".  I searched everywhere and I'm not sure where it is storing the address for that blog.  I'm sure if I could include the www, it would correct our issue.

Thanks,

Kev

Ok, I tried something that fixed it.  I tried clicking on "Regenerate Blog Permalinks" and it fixed the 'www' issue.  Not sure what it did, but it fixed it.

Hi Kevin,

the Blog module has no capability to change the user's state of logged in/logged out. My understanding is that the strange behaviour is caused by the page's security settings. The label "User must be logged in to leave a comment" is displayed because the module detects from the context that the user is not logged in.

Best regards
Dario Rossa

Hi Kevin,

try checking your portal aliases, under Host > Portals menu.
