that's typically an issue with a style in a css causing the menu to appear in the wrong place, i'd suggest you check your skin css to ensure you're not using styles with names that clash with blog styles (I believe "Head title" and "ModuleTitle_MenuItem" are the 2 relevant styles but may be wrong). Also, if you're running IE8, try clicking the IE8 compatibility mode to see if thats the issue

Hi Dave, hi Cathal,

the issue with the action menu was caused by the action's ID being wrongly set at run time. This was not a problem in DNN 04.xx.xx, but causes the menu to behave like this in DNN 05.00.00 due to changes to the solpart provider. It has been fixed in the source code, and the fix will be available in the next release. In the mean time you can access the module options screen using the workaround I describe in this blog post.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

I am still having the same issue. I am using blog version: 3.5.1 on DNN 5.3.1. This is actually killing me. Anyone has any solution where I can modify the code and just make it work for now. My users are really not happy with this.
