Hello all. I have 2 questions about the DNN blog.

1. When a new comment is added to the blog, users receive an email notification about a new entry / comment . Is there a way I can edit this outgoing notification  message? I'd like to change the text a little bit.

2.  Sometimes I'll "charge " a blog by writing the blog text and then setting the "posting  date" to some day in the future.

Is there a way I can go back and edit the blog entry thats waiting to be posted? It currently disappears until the blog date arrives.

Thanks,

Bill

Answering question #2:
To see all blogs (published and unpublished, past and future), go into your "Blog List" module and click "ALL BLOGS".

(Personally I think blog "owners" and portal admins should be able to see "future" blog postings in the list without having to do this, just as you can see "unpublished" entries now.)

Hi Billu,

  1. To edit the mail subject and body, use the DNN language editor that is available thorugh the Host menu.
  2. There's no way to change the publish date of an entry after it has been published, however you can use the published checkbox to perform your task.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Hi Bill,

use the language editor, browse to DesktopModules and locate the Blog module. Locate the correct resource file and the key you want to edit, save your changes and you are done. More help about the language editor may be found in the DNN online help.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa
