I see that blog rolls, archives etc are available

Are there any other widgets available - e.g. to show ads/banners or any other 3rd party widgets like feedjit (live traffic feed etc).

Any sample/showcase sites where Multi user blog has been setup (apart from dotnetnuke blog itself?)

Thanks

Anand

Hi Anand,

the blogroll, the archive and month list are all part of the core module Blog. Many other widgets are available from different services, but they are not DNN modules as far as I know, they are little HTML code fragments that need to be injected into HTML/Text modules. Many developers use technorati widgets, but many more are available.

Ragarding multi-author blogs, I have no examples of someone who actually edited the Blog module source code to support more than on author per blog.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

I've a quick hack that allowed the author to select a poster from the list of portal users. It's not the most ideal solution, but it worked for what our client wanted to do. It wasn't that hard to do, and could easily be tied to a role.

I saw a demo on Friday by Ingen Systems, who are getting ready to submit a Blog module suite to either Marketplace or Snowcovered.

It's very tight, and does true multi-author. They have decoupled the ancillary modules and made a suite that can be used in a number of ways, not just a blog.

On the road map from my suggestion Friday is content localization (at least it was verbally promised during the demo).
