Hi Dario,

Thanks for your suggestion.

Actually i got a temporary and simple solution for this by putting starting few lines of blog post including images in the summary of post itself.... and Read more link automatically comes which leads to entire post.

Hi Nathan,

this is what we call the entry summary. It displays a brief swatch of the entry body itself, and links to the entire content wit a Read more... link. You don't need to enter it manually: if you want the first lines of the body to be used, then let the summary to be auto-generated by leaving the summary box empty (remove also unwanted empty tags switching to source view).

Tags are different: to make a long story short, tags are small words that are linked to content pieces to easily identificate what the content is about. Tagging solutions gather all tags used on all the content into tag lists or tag clouds with enhanced visual styles and display them to the user. When the user clicks on a particular tag, the tag engine shows a list of the content pieces that where linked to the specific tag.

I hope I was clear, if not please let me know. This good article on Wikipedia may help you understand better what a tag is.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Hi Dario,

I tried that already by leaving the summary blank, hoping that starting few lines will come automatically. But it did not come.

Already i know a little about tags. Thanks for your explanation about it and also for that article link.

Regards,

Swaminathan.

Hi Swaminathan,

what issue are you facing when attempting to automatically generate the entry summary?

Best regards,

Hi Dario,

I don't face any error. if i leave summary blank, then when i update the post, only title, copy right information and view link comes.viz. Blank space comes above the view link instead of autogenerated post text.

Thanks

Swaminathan
