I have a problem with editing the Options in blog. I can not change the size, the width and how many number of artile to view at  time. The error started ocurring after I upgraded dotnetnuke to version 5.  I can add and edit blogs, but I can not change the settings. Any one can help me? The error showed is as follows:

I suggest please check out the version of solarpartmenu that you are using ,whether it is comaptible with the dotnetnuke version 5.1 or is there any updated version of solarpartmenu.

Hi Fekadu,

the arrival of DNN5 introduced some breaking news into the SolPart provider that cause this exception to be thrown. However this is not stopping the module from working correctly, and it has been already fixed in the codebase.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa

Dario,

Thank you for you prompt response. Yes, it does not stop me from viewing the pages to general public, but I can not make a change to setting. Would it help me if I upgrade to DNN 5.0.1?

Hi Fekadu,

I suggest you to upgrade to DNN 05.00.01 because of the several bug fixes it has, but this would not solve the issue with the module Blog, though. That issue has already been fixed into the module codebase, and will vanish with the next version. In the meantime, if you are quick enough, you can try to catch the module menu when it appears (it often appears on the top left corner of the page). If you cannot succeed in this, you may always use the workaround I describe in my blog post. Let me know if you need further help.

Best regards,
Dario Rossa
