you may consider switching to FCKEditor or CKEditor provider (http://dnnckeditor.codeplex.com)

I know that someone reportied this before, but it was with the blog version 03.03.01, not the 4.x. I also was not able to reproduce it, so I never figured out what the issue really was, except that it had to do with the Telerik control I'll try to dig into my emails and see if I can find something helpful for your guys.

Also, someone here said that they saw an actualy "Object Reference Error". It would be great if you can go to your event log and give us the full description of the error. Thanks.

I found that I could add entries through Live Writer, however I could not edit them. Flipping over the the fck editor (on DNN 5.5) worked perfectly. Hopefully this can be fixed as I do prefer the Telerik editor. Cheers

Please share the exact error located on the Admin>Event Viewer. That will help us understand exactly where and what is going on. Thanks.

I have exactly the same problem. I have two servers running fresh installs of DNN 5 updated to the latest versions in combination with SQL server 2008 R2.

One custom module installed from coding staff for sub navigation (also tried it with out the that module installed).

If i add a blog entry and use the basic text editor, every thing works as expected.
When i use the rich text editor and choose save and publish i get no error and no entry. (also no entry in event viewer)

When i choose save and draft I get the foloowing in event viewer (changed server and portal names for secutiry reasons):
