I am using DNN Blog Module 4.0.0 in DNN 5.5.1 and cannot get the comments to post in my blog. I can regulate whether the comments are allowed or not. Changing the settings does not allow any posting of comments. When a comment is entered the page refreshes without adding the comment.

Any suggestions on where to start looking? I am sure it is something I have overlooked.

Thanks!
Jeremy

You might want to check and make sure that there is no error message stored in the Event Log for the portal.

Otherwise, is any feedback given to the user?

I cannot find anything in the logs and there is no feedback. Would an uninstall/install possibly solve the issue? And... if so, would I lose present entries?

A uninstall of a module will allways also delete all database artifacts e.g. the module tables with the content in it.  So you lose all content of the DNN instance if you done a uninstall.  The last blog module had a feature to add missing module parts e.g. the comment defination to a page.  Please let us know what DNN and blog module you are using.  And make a detailed description of your issue.

I am using DNN 5.5.1 and Blog module 4.0.0. All the settings are present and seem to be working. If I take off the comments it removes the comment buttons like it should. The only problem I am have is publishing comments. When I push "Add Comment" the page refreshes but the comment is not added.

I was able to insert a comment from the database, but when I tried to Update the Comment, the same things happened again. Through the site I cannot publish to the comments.

Thanks for any help.
Jeremy
