Hi friends. I'm working with DNN 5.6.1, and have just put up a new blog module on a website page (Blog module 3.5.1). For some reason I'm getting module load exception. Here's the details from the events viewer:

I'm not sure what to make of this; I haven't had this happen before. It doesn't seem to keep the module from displaying the entries, but it is cramming the event viewer database full of exceptions. Any ideas what's going on and what I can do to fix this?  Ken Purscell

As I recall, the SolPartMenu null reference issue was indeed a problem with Blog 3.05.01. I would upgrade the blog modlue to the latest official release, 4.00.00 which should be available within the DNN 5.6.1 package. Log in as host user, navigate to Host-->Extensions, and click on "Install Available Extensions" in the Extensions module's action menu. Blog 4.00.00 should be one of the available extensions that you can select in the checkbox list and then install. I set up a 5.06.01 site a few days ago and am using Bog 4.00.00 without that issue.

William: Thanks for the help. I didn't find Blog 4.0.0 in the DNN 5.6.1 package, but I could find it on the DNN downloads site, downloaded it and installed it. Seems to work, the error is gone. I try to keep up on extension upgrades, so I'm a little surprised that it didn't show up over several months of maintenance. In fact, I just checked another site where I do some work and for some reason the upgrade to Blog 4.0.0 has not tripped the little green bar over there, either. Anyway, I'm getting ready to upgrade THAT site to DNN 5.6.1 later this week, so I'll preemptively install the new Blog module tonight. Again, thanks for the help.

Thanks for reporting back on your sucess with upgrading the Blog module. I just checked the DotNetNuke 5.06.01 upgrade package and found that Blog 4.00.00 is included in the Install/Module folder of the package so I'm not sure why it did not show up in the checkbox list of available extensions to install.

I also noticed that I don't have an entry for the Blog module in the Modules...
I checked Install/Module folder and theres a Blog_04.00.00_Install.resources file there.

Will search for the DNN downloads site to try to locate it..
