Hello everyone,

I just started using the blog module and playing with it, but if got it right, only the owner of the blog can add entries to it ...

So a question came up to my mind... Does anybody have an idea whether is the blog module ever going to serve the wider community rather than only a set of dedicated people, and where people with certain role, say "Registered Users", would be able to post entries to blog with their correct names appearing as authors of the entry, and without the need of some special shared username/password? If yes, when is it planned to be implemented?

Why I'm asking is that if there's no plan of developing those into the blog module then  I'd start developing a module according to those (mine and I hope many others') needs, or rather purchase one... Is there a sense in it?

Thanks!

if you grant access to a role, every member can create his own blog like the core team members here on DotNetNuke.com

Hi Sebastian,

Thank you for prompt answer.

Is possible for other people to add entry to some existing blog, without having to create their own blog? There may be some users that need to create only one blog entry, and forcing them to create a blog and then add entry is kinda confusing, isn't it?

Thanks again!
