DNN Community Edition 05.06.02 (144)

Blog module 4.1.0

Set up is like this - main blog page has abbreviated "teaser" blog entries, each with it's own READ MORE button that links to the full entry. the heading for the teaser entries indicates date, time and posted by name - 10/18/2012 9:59 PM By Bill Smith. When you click to read the full entry, though, you'll see "Written By:" with no name indicated. I would like to correc this. I have provided a screenshot in a Google Doc. Couldn't upload image to this post; the Image Manager kept freezing.

Thanks for the feedback. So you are saying I should upgrade from 4.0.1 to 4.1.1 and then I take the DotNetNuke.Modules.Blog.dll file you referenced and do what with it?

Also I am having another issue, which you can see in this screenshot https://docs.google.com/document/d/1a...

This read more button defect is present on every blog entry. The top one partially covered by the lower one has "Permalink" overlayed on it in red.

Yes, once you are on 4.1.1 just replace this one dll and magic happens.

As 4.1.1 version is no longer officially maintained and upgrade to 5 is not an option, I have started to maintain this on my own, fixing bugs as those are issue for me.

Do you know what the path (approximately) should be to locate the correct DLL to replace? The server has many instances of this DotNetNuke.Modules.Blog.dll. Also, what do you think of the double read more box issue?
