I have tried on two different machines to add the blog module to my DNN installation (4.3.1), but I receive the same error on both.  The error seems to indicate that there is a problem connecting to the database, but all other elements work fine - the problem is limited to the blog module.

The error is shown below.  Any help would be appreciated.

Have found that I have not defined in appSetting section connection to database for legacy modules. Now everything works.

Could you be a little more specific about where you made these settings?

Thx

Hello.

The section is located in the web.config. Named <app.Settings>.

In this section there's an entry

<add name="SiteSqlServer" ....

here you have to define the connection string a second time. At my provider,

this section was commented out and i had the same problem, but with commenting

out this section, it works...

regards

markus
