I am extending Dotnetnuke blog 5.0.0 for some Search engine rlated capabilities and have to import some defualt data.

I have some default categories which i were able to add via script successfully.But they are not appearing on the Blog page.Then i got to know that there is some sort of integration with taxonomy so i have added a vocalbulary there as mentioned below

List of Vocabularies

  Name Description Type Scope
Edit Tags System Vocabulary for free form user entered Tags Simple Application
Edit Module_Categories System Vocabulary to manage Module Categories Simple Application
Edit Blog Topics Automatically generated for blog module Simple Portal

Now there is one more step as i have read some where saying

"Make sure you have "Category Vocabulary Root:" set to the same "Blog Topics" in the Control Panel."

I were unable to find such setting where i can select the Category Vocabulary root

Please help me in it

Hi, in the main Blog module options, you will find it under Basic Settings tab, General.

I have dnn 6.2.4 and Blog 5.0.0
Under Blog  Categories --> Settings -->Module Settings[Tab] --> Basic Setting
There is a Tag combo box in which i can see tow entries Tags , Blog Topics.

But after selecting the Blog Topics there nothing happen.Drop down remain blank.

Is this the right dropdown?

I agree it's a bit confusing but it's not in the Blog Categories module, it's under the main Blog module.
