First: My compliments for a great new blog module. I am very impressed by the functionality, the documentation and the overall quality!

In setting it up tonight I encountered one problem, I think it is because I am not familiar enough with the module, so please help me out.
I have installed a fresh DNN 7.1.1 on a Windows 2008R2 server. I installed the latest blog module and got it working fine.

Then I tried to add the Blog module to the home-page, and only have the "latest posts" page on the home page. It seems to work.
I get the text
"Latest Blog entries
RITS meeting in Helsinki 4 & 5th September 2013"

But when clicking on the link I only get the "Page cannot be found. Sorry, the page you are looking for cannot be found..."

So what am I doing wrong?
On my home page I did the following: I logged in so I had the rights to choose "Module -> Add New Module". I did choose "Blog" and inserted that one.

I then have the following parameters:

Blog Settings:

Parent Blog Module: [Pointing to my blog module]

Blog To Show: [All]

Category To Show: [All]

Author To Show: [All]

Template: [latestPosts [System]]

Show All Languages: [yes]

This do look fine to me.

And indeed, when trying it out, it shows the latest blogs with a clickable link.
But when I click the link, it shows "page cannot be found" as result.

My webpage is internal so URL is http://rits.
When I hover of the URL for the latest blog post it shows the URL of rits/post=253
However, the actual URL to my blog test is  http://rits/Blog/Post/253/RITS-meetin...

Can anyone see what I am doing wrong with the  "latestPosts [System ]" on mu home page so that it doesn't direct me to the correct blog post?

Thanks for any help with this!

In regards to my topic start I actually think that this is known bug, from what I can read from this page:

https://dnnblog.codeplex.com/workitem...

So maybe I just wait for a fix or workaround until then...

This is a known bug.  I think it will be fixed with next Version.

Hi Matthias,
And the workaround, by entering "pagename/tabid/ttt/" in the template settings works just fine as a workaround for now. Thanks for your reply!

Seems like this workaround only works when its displayed on the main blog listing page.

Once you read a blog and you're on the page of that blog entry, the URL for this template no longer works.

For example, here is the blog page where the latest posts works (Look at the "Blog archive" on the right-hand side.
http://www.helpmasterpro.com/Communit...

Now, click on any blog to read it. Now look at the "Blog archive". Notice the "Blog archive" (Latest posts). Hover over the link. It's malformed.

I have used the "workaround" in this thread. My template looks like:
Blogs/tabid/153/

Using blog module 6.0.3

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Rod
