In the past, was possible to search in blog contents integrating with dnn search. How is this possible with the new blog module ?

I don't think Blog module integrates with Search. Based on what I know they don't want to take dependency on 7.1, where the new Search was introduced.

Click the search icon at the top of the module and it brings up a search box. That is the simplest way.

Note that the search module still exposes its content using the "old" search interface to DNN. So search should work out of the box regardless.
