Seems like the blog comment system is broken.

Has there been any progress on the following "Nan" issues that have been logged in codeplex?

23948
23887
23920
23947
23931

All of these issues refer to the "Nan" message which appears when a comment is posted. Has anyone been able to work-around this, or has found a solution?
Thanks.

OK, after a bit (lot) of research, it seems that this might be caused by a bad upgrade.

I have tested the blog module on a new install of DNN 7.2.1 and it works fine. Doing a database schema compare against the failing blog and the new, I can see that the blog table and the blog comments table are not the same. Different columns, different names etc. Seems like the database upgrade failed.

Is there anyway to re-apply the database scripts that must have failed?

OK, this issues owes me days worth of grief, time, and frustration. Fixed the NaN issue though.

I am >>>>this close<<<< to ditching core DNN modules and going with commercial solutions.

Rod,

I know that this is an old post, however did you document what you did to fix this?  The comment system is failing for me on an upgraded system (DNN 7.3.3 and Blog 6.1.0).  I installed a new site with the same setup (not skin though) and it works great.  Comments were working OK in v5.0.0 on 7.0.5 (or at some time in the past)

When you see this type of error, please use Fiddler to see what is actually being sent by the server. Often that will shed some light on the internal error as you can see it in the response.
