Not sure what is going on here but if I add a entry to my blog and it's dated today 7/25/2006 and I go right back in an make an update to the blog entry it shows a update date of 7/24/2006.

I updated today not yesterday...Is it me or is this a little strange.

Is there a setting that I am overlooking or is this an issue with the blog module?

Thanks,
Bryan

Is your site in the correct time zone?

I am having a similar problem, I setup my site in the correct time zone, but still the posts I make are about 1 hr. before my time.
I think that my server is not in the correct timezone, so I could put the time zone of my site in another zone, but this is not the correct setting I guess and could only be confusing for my visitors.
I know that I should contact my hosting provider for this issue and I will do that, but I saw your post and thought, maybe you are having the same problem.

So could you check if the date is correct on your server or whether or not you have the correct timezone setup?
Maybe the date on your server is incorrect, so please check this by making a post in another module like the forum for instance.

Yes the timezone is correct. I have tested this on my production server and on my localhost test environment.

I have looked into that and everything is setup correctly.

The User, Blog, Portal, and Server are all set to -8:00(GMT/UTC)

In the post you refered me to...That user was saying the times were off by an hour. In this case they are off by a full day.

One other strange thing: Each time you make an edit a full day is removed from the original post date.

Date of post: 7/28
After edit 1: Now it's 7/27
After edit 2: Now it's 7/26

There is something else going on here other than the time zone.
