I tried to implement the DNNTextSugest control in my project, all function working well except NodeClick event, it just couldn't fire up.

here are my codes:

<DNN:DNNTEXTSUGGEST id="dnnCustomer" runat="server" Width="300px"
    OnPopulateOnDemand = "DnnCustomer_PopulateOnDemand" OnNodeClick="DnnCustomer_NodeClick"
    DefaultNodeCssClassSelected="SelClass" DefaultNodeCssClassOver="HoverClass" DefaultNodeCssClass="NodeDefault" DefaultChildNodeCssClass="ChildNodeDefault"
 TextSuggestCssClass="MenuBarClass" >
</DNN:DNNTEXTSUGGEST>

protected void DnnCustomer_NodeClick(object source, DotNetNuke.UI.WebControls.DNNTextSuggestEventArgs e)
{
      foreach (DotNetNuke.UI.WebControls.DNNNode node in dnnCustomer.SelectedNodes)
      {
           Response.Write(node.Text + " --t--" + node.Key);
       }
}

I found the sample downloaded from dotnetnuke website got same problem, it couldn't fire the NodeClick event.

I got no clue how to fix this problem. can someone help,

cheers

John

You are not showing how you are populating the nodes.  If you do not specify a ClickAction = PostBack, the event will not be called.  Typically, in a textsuggest mode, you would not use the nodeclick, rather you would allow the user to specify one or more items, and then click some button.  If the browser does not support the dropdown, you will need this button anyways.

However, I am not sure what your usecase is for the control so it may make sense in your scenerio.
