Hi all,

I'm new at programming modules in dotnetnuke, but i want to build a page that's shows a module. That module asks for some data, this module check's my data, and if the data is ok, i want to show a second module with extended information about the subject (in a nice layout, with pictures etc.).

My question is, how do i send data from the first to the second module?

IMC (Inter-Module-Communication) is great for that type of scenario. You can send messages to other modules on a page. Checkout the interfaces IModuleCommunicator and IModuleListener.

IMO this is not the most effective way of doing this.

There is no reason this couldn't be managed using a single module (and modulecontrol) with an asp:panel control (initially with visible=false) that contains the nice layout.

When the user clicks a button that submites their info, the data is validated and if valid the asp:panel is made visible and displays the info.
