I think I have found a tolerable workaround that doesn't involve the creation of more containers or hardcoding links into skins.  Much thanks to hooligannes for offering this very simple solution:

In the module settings, add the following to the header:

<div align="right"><a target="_blank" href="http://targeturl">More»< /a> < /div>

This places the link below the title but by assigning an id to the div, I was able to position and style it via css and get it looking the way that I envisioned.
