It might not like the 'Integrated Security' method, as that would be trying to connect with the NETWORK SERVICE account.  You could try adding a new user account to your SQL Server and then provide the username and password in your connection string rather than integrated security.

www.connectionstrings.com has a good reference on how to pass username and password in the connectionstring.

This is killing me.  Tried this didn't work either.  I really don't know what else to do, this should be really simple,but for whatever reason it's not liking this.

ok, a few more thoughts.

1.  Have you changed both connection strings within the web config.  (The one in the connectionStrings section and the one in the appSettings section)

2.  Do you have to have a user instance of SQL?  If not, try creating a database using management studio and giving your user correct permissions to it.  Then update the connection strings.

I have not used the user instances before as I have had more problems than benefits....
