Hi Guys
Sorry i am posting this problem over here beause i did not find a link to post new thread in "Site upgrade forum"
i have devloped a site using dotnenuke 3.x version now i want to upgrade it  to DNN4.x.I have try to upgrade it using the following steps
1-Create a fresh installation of DNN4.
2-Assign it the same admin as database owner as I use in the production site.
3-Install all modules that I use on production site
4-In SQL create a database with the name DNN4Beta.
5-Assign the same admin as db owner as you use in the production site.
6-I have set the validationKey and decryptionKey in DNN4 as they are in production site.
7-Change the connection strings so that they point to your SQL server and database. In this case the database name will be DDN4Beta.
8-Now we need to import data from the production database into DDN4Beta. Use SQL Server Manager for this.
9-Copy all data from the production Portals folder to the DNN4 Portals folder.
Then Browse http://localhost/DNN4/Default.aspx
The site upgrade run successfully.

Now the problem lies here.this upgrade install the module that are in version3.0.it does not install the new module that are Dnn 4.0.Please let me know where i am doing wrong.I shall be very thankful to you.
