It looks like you have two items here.  First that the ASP.NET process doesn't have access to the full file system.  Double check the permissions for that.

Also, it appears that your connection string isn't working, have you tested the servername, username, and password using management studio or another tool like that?

Hi Mitchel

you told me, that there might be a problem with the connection string.

In the meantime I tested this topic carefully.

1. I have reset the virtaul server to be shure, that everything is ok.

2. I created a "reference site" without Plesk, by creating the site with IIS. With the connection string I showed you, there where no problems. Everything went ok. (Why do you think that the connection string is wrong?)

3. Then I retried to create the domain and the site in Plesk. I returned to the http-folder to install DNN again. I still didn't change the connection string, since it worked above.
Rather disappointed about the result....look at this very new screen:

(of course the folder rights have been set for "Network Service".)

Domains created using plesk don't use Network Sevice by default.  Most plesk instances use IWAM_plesk(default).  Have you verified if this user has modify privilages on httpdocs?

Hi Wik

I have to tell you, that even SWsoft, which is the company of the product Plesk was not able to give me a good answer. And my hosting partner with thousands of domains, who works with Plesk and DNN on the other hand, could not see the true reason, why this problems occur. Really sad.

Regards
Patrick
