Had numerous problems with the install and it seems to have installed this time. But one of the customizations we had to do was put in a PortalAlias field. Now when you try and access DNN some weird redirect occurs and sends you to a non-functional login page.

Could someone take a look at it and see if they can offer some helpful advice? The URL is: http://iomedex.officewebsite.net/dnn

The PortalAlias HTTPAlias value is iomedex.officewebsite.net/dnn

Thanks in advance for your help!

Make a change to your web.config to restart the application and you should be good to go.

To expand on John's response....simply add a few spaces somewhere within the web.config, then remove them.  Once you save the new copy the application should restart.

Thank you for the response.

I have restarted the application multiple times by making changes to the web.config and I am getting the same result.

What I am noticing now is the url after launching the page and the redirect occurs, doesn't look typical to other installs that I have done. The url now has: "Host/tabid/7/ctl/Login/portalid/0/Default.aspx?returnurl=%2fdnn%2fDefault.aspx" appended to the end of the application path. I'm starting to wonder if the installation was successful and what, if anything, I can do to repair it.

Help?

Yes, something is bad wrong there.

It thinks your home page for that portal is not authorized unless you are logged in.

Since it is going to what appears to be a host tab then that could be the reason.

I would just start over.  You might also want to try out my DotNetNuke® Configuration Wizard to help with the install.
