the installation wizard is not working for me. The step where database scripts are run, it does not finish and does not move ahead from there. I tired this on IE and Firefox, both.

OK...I need a little more hand holding. I downloaded the installer. It's on my computer. I have DND running on one website hosted at GoDaddy. I want to set it up on a second site (someone else set up the first one.) GoDaddy offers a version  that is a bit older.

So...can I use the intaller to upgrade my first site?

What do I do with the installer? Put it in my root on the webhost machine? Since I cannot install in host dir with GoDaddy should I make a /DND first and put it there? Do I need to do anything with SQL first as that can take some time, I hear.

Just unzipped and ran Setup...it says its going to put DNN on my computer. Might be a good idea...but not what I am looking for.

Oh...for those who want more from their documentation....It seems that the installer might have it's own ftp program. I am hung up on the SQL Server Authentication. My user name and password didn't work. So...stuck again. Will post more if I learn more.

OK...don't see a way to fake my way past this. The installer says that the only available database server is alpha/act7. I don't think that's a server. Alpha is my main computer. Act7 is a contact manager program. I suppose it uses an internal database. Does the installer think it can use it during install? I don't think I know anything about it....like my username and password...if that's what its trying to do...and if that is what it wants to know.

Hello to anyone that can possibly help.  I am a novice compared to anyone on on this forum.  I'm a hyyist with technical aptitude, but no professional training on web development.  I am able to update my own website with simple html changes.

I have downloaded the full version on DotNetNuke and have set up the IIS and virtual directory to point to my local host.  I am trying to install DotNetNuke and get the error message below.

Does anyone have a solution for me that I might be able to understand?

Thanks in advance!
