I had this Problem too

This should be the solution:

C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_regiis -i

this will install asp.net to iis.

after that you have to type this:

C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_regiis -ga

hope it works

I am a DNN nubie but I must be dumb as a rock ...How do you start the Wizard once you download the Install.zip?

I am new as well...and apparently also dumb as a rock.  I downloaded the starter kit, and found instructions for installation in the documentation folder.  The problem is that I don't understand the installation instructions at all.  I tried opening the install wizard, but all I see is code in a read only dreamweaver window.  The wizard is a great idea for people inexperienced and not versed at all in this new language I keep trying to understand, but I don't have any idea where to find it or how to start it if I have already found it.  I also discovered in the documentation folder in the install instructions that I did not download the starter kit to the right place on my computer.  I realize that I can move it, but it would be helpful if something like that was stated on the download page so that one starts off on the right foot.

I've used dotnetnuke to build a few pages for my employer (a programmer who seems confident in my ability to figure out this tool of technology) and it was a simple to use, intuitive process.  That said, it was also already set up and installed properly on the server he uses for his network.  Is that the problem I'm having?  Trying to use a computer instead of a server?  I don't know what I've done wrong, and I can't find a simple (code and jargon free - easy to understand for a person not versed in the lingo) answer or set of instructions.  I tried searching the forum threads for help, but even that turns up no results.  Am I the only one that can't get past the download step?

Can anyone help me get started?
