I was having similar problems with installation.

I suggest downloading the documentation for the 4.4.1 release and reading through the “DotNetNuke Installation Guide.pdf” file.

You need to have an IIS service with ASP.NET 2.0 installed on the system that will be hosting the site (local or otherwise). You also will need to set up a SQL server (or SQLExpress), database, and user before starting the wizard.

Once you have that in place you copy the DNN files to the directory you have setup in IIS for your web site and set all the file permissions. The install wizard starts when you access the web site for the first time.

Seen the video, great video but an issue with the installation is -

Line #1 – <%@ Page Language="vb" AutoEventWireup="false" Explicit="True" Inherits="DotNetNuke.Framework.DefaultPage" CodeFile="Default.aspx.vb" %>

Error -  withEvents variable ‘Form’ conflicts with property ‘Form’ in the base class ‘Page’ and should be declared ‘Shadows’

Line #3 - <asp:literal id="skinDocType" runat="server"></asp:literal>

Error – Unrecognized tag prefix or device filter ‘asp’

Line #23 - <dnn:Form id="Form" runat="server" ENCTYPE="multipart/form-data" style="”height: 100%;">

Error – Element ‘Form’ is not a known element. This can occur if there is a compilation error in the web site.

‘Errors’ in the file Default.aspx file as so reports Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition. This file found in the ‘root’ directory of the extracted files of  DotNetNuke.4.5.1.

Uh oh, Joe forgot to pay his hosting bill .

You don't need the video now though, you can see the real thing in the latest release.

Yes.  Apparently my two domains were not in sync and the tag-software domain expired last week.  Just shows the importance of keeping your contact information up to date.  The site should be back online this morning after GoDaddy updates their system.
