Hi there. I have an existing site that I'd like to merge into the directories of my DNN setup. A problem I've found is with any of my Default.aspx files, when trying to direct, say "~/content/pub/csharp/default.aspx" will direct me to the main DNN default.aspx... I'm sure it's just a setting with the rewriter or in the global.cs file...

Also, is there also a decent way of using/linking physical aspx files with dnn? I know that you can't link to them with the linkmanagers and so forth, as it seems to only see what's in the database, not the filesystem, it's really seeming like it'll be too much of a hassle... One persone mentioned creating an aspx/ascx viewer module... This doesn't make much sense to me, I mean, who would create a television to hook up to another one to view the same channel!?

If anyone could comment and/or send advice, it would be appreciated.
I've tried about 6 other content management systems and DNN seems to be the best, but at the same time seems to be the most limiting with physical files... help... please...

I am not sure if it is even possible to perform this type of integration within DNN without major reworking to the friendly URL's settings...

I would personally recommend moving your other site to a different location or sub-domain as that would be the easiest.  Th eonly thing that might work is to put all of your other application files within their own directory and modify all of the FriendlyUrl settings to only take action on items in a root folder....but that might be a bit harder than I imagine...

Well. I did look at using DNN as a separate entity but then I'd have no use for it...
But if I go all in, I'd have all the use for DNN in the world...
I read a few articles online where some people are using certain parts of the DNN core Framework within their site but not the entire product... That seems to be a mess.
Maybe, not quite serious, a person could convert all aspx to ascx and call them as controls lol
I guess a person could just keep dnn on the side as a future development project and slowly move across...

Until then, It's either all in or fold for me I guess :)
Thanks,
Rob
