Danny,

Please do keep us up to speed on this.  I've had it working nicely on a 64-bit box as well using SQLExpress, but ASP.Net was in 32-bit mode.  I had issues with 64-bit so I downgraded.  However, the powers that be are pretty set on getting this working stable in full 64-bit mode.

Surprised I can't find a thing from the Core Team on this... 64-bit has been out long enough I would think...

Thanks for the info!

Tim

Hi,

Has somebody managed to get DNN 4.x working on a 64 bit server with asp.net 2.0 for 64 bit (instead of 32 bit) ? I seem to get stuck in the  "service unavailable" message on isapi filters not working :-(. The ASP.NET Tab missing.... Any help is appreciated...back to 32 bit.  I do not understand why MS does not make the GUI better to allow installation on the fly instead of putting everything in kb-articles.

Any help is very appreciated!

J.

1. The isapi filters regarding asp.net 2.0 must work otherwise I strongly suppose that your installation (application server) is busted.

2. I'm using a 64bit asp.net 2.0 framework

3. Caution: when you're running php 5.x on the same server (-> see it when isapi fails) you could run in severe troubles (otherwise do it only if you really need it - it cost me days to make a 100% error free configuration)

Maybe this article helps you how to switch 32bit/64bit asp.net frameworks http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894435

good luck !

So are you saying you have DNN running on 64 bit IIS and 2.0 .net framework?
