Hello,  I'm new to this.  So please be patient.  As per Lee, I want to install the FCK editor, can't seem to do it because what he shows in his tutorial looks a lot different from what I get.  When I open the downloaded editor I have the following icons in it:

installation of the FCK editor.  I am totally lost because I don't get any of the icons that you are describing.

These are the icons that I see in the zip file that comes up after I download the FCK editor:

_documentation.html, _upgrade.html, _whatsnew.html
_samples, _testcases, _editor
fckconfig.js, fckeditor.afp, fckeditor.asp, fckeditor.cfc, fckeditor.afm, fckeditor.js
fckeditor.lasso, fckeditor.php, fckeditor.pl, fckeditor.py, fckeditor.php4.php, fckeditor.php5.php
fckstyles.xml, fcktemplates.xml, htaccess.txt, license.txt

There is no bin, as Lee outlines and there is no installation folder or anything remotely looking like it.  What do I do now?  Can anybody please help me with this?  I would really appreciate help since I am in the middle of building a website and I cannot upload images and insert links in the original dnn editor.

Thanks,  HAW

to install FCKEditor in DotNetNuke, simply download the FCKEditor provider package from the download page here on DotNetNuke.com and follow the installation instructions inside the package.

Leupold,

Thanks for your time.  I opened all the icons that I get when I downloaded the package and can't find any instructions.  I used the tutorial, as I mentioned, and don't have any of those icons that are mentioned there.  Please help.  Thanks again,

HAW

Hey Sebastian,

Ich bin auch Deutsche, allerdings in den USA.  Danke fuer Deine Muehe.

Thanks Sebastian. I noticed that I had downloaded an older version of the dnn and was wondering if I should download the latest version now and would it make a difference in the editor that comes with it.  Because right now I cannot do links and can't get images into the file manager.

Thanks again, for your time and effort.

Heidi
