I have tried by changing the language too but that does not help to resolve the date format.
Any more solutions out there? :)

Where have you changed the language settings? Have you:-

  • Added the language in Host/Languages
  • Changed the default portal language in Admin/Settings
  • Changed the users language in User Profile Settings for logged on users
  • Ensured the language is set in the browser for non-logged on users

There is no need to change the language in SQL or web.config.

Cheers
Roger

I've found that the browser language detection - Enable Browser Language Detection For Current Portal - seems to confuse things at times.  I usually turn this off so that the default language of the site is used.

It may not be right, but it's working for me.

I agree, I do this as well. My site only supports English, and is used by UK folks 99.9% of the time, so I've basically forced everything over to UK date formats wherever possible.

For some obscure reason, a default install of Internet Explorer is set up for en-US, even on a PC that is configured for en-GB. For those who want to check their browser default language, in IE it is in Tools/Internet Options/General Tab/Languages.
