thanks Roger for respondin

I have done the first 2 but am not sure about these ones below..

I have gone into User Accounts but dont see any options to change the settings for logged on users or ensuring the language is set in the browser for non-logged on users...where are these options?

  • Changed the users language in User Profile Settings for logged on users

  • Ensured the language is set in the browser for non-logged on users

Hi Fred,

  • You need to go into each user account (unless someone knows how to do this in bulk), then click on Manage Profile. You will see an option to edit the Preferred Locale. This controls the user language and the associated date format etc
  • If you are using IE, look in Tools/Internet Options/General Tab/Languages button. Alternatively untick 'Enable Browser Language Detection For Current Portal' in Admin/Languages

Cheers
Roger

I agree, I do this as well. My site only supports English, and is used by UK folks 99.9% of the time, so I've basically forced everything over to UK date formats wherever possible.

For some obscure reason, a default install of Internet Explorer is set up for en-US, even on a PC that is configured for en-GB. For those who want to check their browser default language, in IE it is in Tools/Internet Options/General Tab/Languages.

Roger

A friend of mine would call it a "feature"
