Hi,

I would like to add an attribute in the template.html section of a repository. I have no problem using my attribute in the header section for filtering. However when I use the tag :

     <td align=left valign=top class="normal">[ATTRIBUTE:myAttribute]</td>

in the template section, nothing shows up.

What am I doing wrong?

It's becaue the ATTRIBUTE tag is only parsed when loading the header template. Can explain why you're trying to parse it in the template section?

I would like to build a repository with a number of custom attributes. E.g. a car database, I would like to have attributes like: fueltype (gas, gasoline), type (sedan, stationwagon, hardtop, pickup), milage (any number), year (1980,...2006). some of these attributes I would like to use in the filtering (header.html) others I would simply want to display in the template section. So I was trying to have them displayed, but I don't know how.

Ahh okay I suspected it was something like that but I wasn't sure. The attributes is meant as a means of fine tuning the categories.

EDIT: I.E. You've got a category called Car and the latest on you uploaded was give the year attribute of 2005. Your customer can then select Cars from the category and 2005 and they'll only see all the cars from the year 2005.

In your case I think the best you could do would be to use the attributes for sorting as you plan to and for the description enter the attributes manually.

OK I understand your intention with the attributes better now. I just took it in a different direction for my own purposes.

Of course I can, but that's not what I want of course...

Would it make sense to have the attributes also available in the template section?

Would this imply a lot of programming work?

I like the repository idea, but the way I am using it, it is sort of a mix between a user defined table and a repository.
