Chris, I've done a little bit more investigation on the issue I documented above about links in the Stats area being wrong. It appears my statement that the What's New Links being correct in both the forum and on another page where your What's New module is placed is wrong.

The links use the activetab.tabid. Both the Statistics and What's New info is generated and then cached when the forum is initiated, and this initiation can occur either by the Forum being displayed or the What's New module being displayed. When the What's New module is on a separate tab, the wrong tabid is used.

At the moment I'm not sure where to get the correct tabid from, but I'll endeavour to dig it out, unless you've already resolved this....

Roger

Chris, yet more investigation.

My comments above were disguised by two separate issues.

  1. In your What's New module it is possible for the links to be wrong if you move which tab the Forum is on. This doesn't seem to affect the display, but does mean the links are wrong. This is easily fixed by going and configuring the module again, and probably isn't fixable in code, since this module would have to spot when another module is moved.
  2. The main forum is affected by using activetab.tabid to populate the url's. I've implemented a fix in my code which resolves the problem, but I don't believe it is ideal. Basically I store the tabid at configuration time, and then use this instead of the activetab in the places that populate the statistics information. Basically I do this because I can't see how to get the tabid for a given moduleid, so it seems best to store it when you know you are on the correct tab.

Let me know if you want more information.

Cheers
Roger
