That's a very good point.

Perhaps we could incorporate a search module in a similar way to which the ByDesign Advanced Announcements module works - I've created a video review of this module here:

http://www.dnncreative.com/tabid/67/Default.aspx

I can give the rest of the repository team access to the review if they are unfamiliar with the module.

It might be worth having a look at each of the News Articles modules that I reviewed to see what format a search function could take.

Another area which could be of interest is a module that Jeff Smith from Venexus Inc. is currently working on to replace the Search function of DNN called DNN find.

The work in progress can be followed here: www.dnnfind.com

Jeff is a pro in the area of search progs and spiders so you can bet this will be a good quality and reliable module when it is released.

FYI. A new [SEARCH] tag has been added to the header.html template parsing that will render a search box in the Repository header section. This search box will search the current category and filter the list of items shown to items that include the search text in any of the title, description, author or author's email address fields. You will be able to set Settings for each of the 3 elements of the [SEARCH] tag, the search prompt, the textbox and the button, such as CssClass, Text and Width.

This enhancement is complete and checked into source control and will be included in the January release ( target: end of the month )
