Hi there, are you using manual installation or default auto install method comes up with your control panel?

I'm using 4.4.1 with manual install and was able to host child/main portals with my other domains.
For example:
http://www.mikroproje.com is main host portal
http://www.mikroproje.com/global and http://www.mynetnuke.com is same alias for a childportal
also i have http://autopatcher.mikroproje.com as another portal (with subdomain function)

I'll release a advanced tutorial in upcoming weeks for implementing DNN 4.5 to Godaddy root and creating parent and child portals with addon domains.

Regards.

Thank you for your reply.
I am happy that there are someone can do so.  I use the default installation with Godaddy provided. I can not install it again as web is on the run. Do you have a solution for the DNN that install by Godaddy ?
When I create parent portal, I don't know which directory which I should point my domain name to?
When I create the child portal and I create http:  alias and point my domain directory to chile portal directory but it come out the following error.

From what i understand, your auto install dnn is located at subdirectory directory right?
I'm sorry my solution will only work with root installations, since we need to point addon domains to username root.
For example: d:\hosting\username
Also you need to create and assign custom directory permissions for your installation from control panel.
With default structure, im not sure but moving dnn to root would help you. However auto install doesnt let us ftp to full install directory right?
So there is only one solution left.
Try to backup your portal files and db with a third party module (I'm using Evotiva Backupscript and it works best with Godaddy)
What i did?
My previous installation was a manual install to, but into portal subdirectory. So i decided to move to root. I backed up my portal and db with Backupscript, then restored that installation to my localdrive, (also, i had to change portal aliases from db)
Then in my control panel, created virtual directories, assigned permissions, and created install,
In my local install, after optimizing content for broken list, created a backup, and restored it on godaddy, My first try was unsuccesful, but i had done it succesfully at second try.
