Hello gurus.

I have 450 users defined to my DNN v3 system.  In an earlier post, it was suggested that I not run the upgrade.  It was suggested that I set up a DNN v4 system from scratch.  So my problem is getting the 450 users from v3 to the v4 system.  Is there a best practice for doing this so I don't have to (or ask the users) to re-create the accounts.  Also, is there a way to migrate the roles along with the users?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

ltm

LTM, I personally would look at upgrading rather than starting fresh if you can avoid it. I don't know which earlier post you're referring to, but unless you've highly modified V3 an upgrade to V4 shouldn't be too bad. Though, be sure to backup everything, filesystem and DB, and test it all on a test environment before trying it in production.

I too would upgrade rathe than trying to migrate users.

Just be sure to back everything up and test it!!
