I have this same issue.  This is one of the failings in my eyes of dotnetnuke as it seems to record the exact hostname and port number of the webserver when you first run the applicaiton and it goes through the installation process (running the scripts etc).  So if you hit F5 in VS 2005 and it starts a web server the database has information set to that localhost:randomport number from VS 2005.  Now your stuck with it from what I can tell and you have to drop the database and recreate it again, but without debuging in VS 2005.

This begs the question, how the heck do you debug this thing?  Attach to the process after you've deployed it without running it in VS 2005?
