Didn't mean to offend you, I just am kind of frustrated.  One thing I am trying now in my 4.0.2 environmrent is moving my two test sites to be parent portals, instead of child portals.  I have done it and only got logged out once while deleting a page.  The page did delete though.  I have been making several hours of changes, logged in as different users and it seems OK.  I hate to speak too soon though and will do more testing making updates remotely (outside of my internal network) early next week.  I will let you know if this change has actually worked.

My issue was fixed by moving my 2 sites from being child portals to parent portals.  For some reason IE loses authentication with child portals.
