Hi all

I am trying to use the language editor tab and receive an error about a missing ..\App_GlobalResources\Locales.xml'

truely there is no Locales.xml' file under \App_GlobalResources. I looked for this file in the installation source files of DNN433 but couldnt fint it.

the files that are present under App_GlobalResources are:

GlobalResources.resx

SharedResources.resx

Locales.Portal.xml.config

Locales.xml.config

TimeZones.xml

I use DNN 433 since this is the only version I managed to install to the root of my GoDaddy account.

 Please help

thanks,

TH

the full error message is:

please enter languages from host tab and check, if this creates languages.xml. Otherwise just copy languages.xml.config into languages.xml and retry.

I have this nasty error in the language editor. Does anybody know what data to check?

Error: Languages is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Cannot find column name. ---> System.IndexOutOfRangeException: Cannot find column name. at System.Data.DataTable.ParseSortString(String sortString) at System.Data.DataView.CheckSort(String sort) at System.Data.DataView.set_Sort(String value) at DotNetNuke.Services.Localization.Languages.BindGrid() in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\dnn434_00\Admin\Localization\Languages.ascx.vb:line 350 at DotNetNuke.Services.Localization.Languages.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\dnn434_00\Admin\Localization\Languages.ascx.vb:line 92 --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Another way to fix this problem is to write the Locales.xml manually. E.g. for me normally it's german and english and the file would be then:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<root>
  <language name="Deutsch (Deutschland)" key="de-DE" fallback="" />
  <language name="English (United States)" key="en-US" fallback="en-US" />
</root>

The resource files look like this. So how to get to know what column is not bound?
