I just had the same issue.

After changing the DB collation to Latin1_General_CI_AS (Only my DB not the sql2005 server) i still got errors.

This is what i've done to correct them:

-edit DotNetNuke.Schema.SqlDataProvider, 04.05.00.SqlDataProvider and 04.04.01.SqlDataProvider  and using Notepad and find & replace do a replace of the stored procedure variables (the ones starting with @  i.e.:  @PortalID) with the same thing  --> find @PortalID and replace all with @PortalID.  If you do the same with all the variables that appear in the log files (i.e. DotNetNuke.Schema.log), you then correct the case and then you can install with "Auto" installation.

After installing, the portal comes up and only the links module shows an error (at least in the default install).  This can be corrected going to the links dataprovider (\DesktopModules\Links\Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider\03.01.00.SqlDataProvider)  and copying the store procedure "GetLinks" (I think it's the only one with errors)  and paste in sql server 2005, to manually create (remove objectqualyfiers first).

Hope this helps anyone.

Thanks.
