Hi,
I am using blog module on DNN 3.2.1. I have configured it with XSL provided in the Styles folder of the module. I am using it on the Homepage of the site. It was working fine till yesterday but suddenly it has stopped working stating following error:

News Feed Is Not Available At This Time. Error message:This is an unexpected token. The expected token is 'WHITESPACE'. Line 2, position 62.

But to admin user it  shows following error:

Could Not Connect To http://localhost/Blogs/tabid/72/rssid/0/Default.aspx. You Should Verify The Source Address Is Valid And That Your Hosting Provider Has Configured Their Proxy Server Settings Correctly.

I have not done any kind of change in the site. After the error occured i have reentered the Newsfeed URL but of no use.

My another query is that when it was working earlier i was not able to show the name of the blogger. How can i display the name of the blogger along with Title.

Regards,
Naveen

First let me say, it is recommend to use DNN version 3.2.2 instead of version 3.2.1, there are some problems in 3.2.1 which was solved with the actual version 3.2.2.

Is the page where the blog module is located restrcited for a specific user groupe?

If yes, please read this thread

HP,

Thanks a lot for a prompt reply and a solution.... I have changed the Permissions of the "Most Recent Blog Entries" module. (View permission to all users).. it's working perfectly.

Here is my one more query. When i display the summary using the styles(provided in Styles folder), it doesn't show the UserName(Author) of the blog entry.

Can I do anything regarding this??

I know you have a solution for this also...

Regards,
Naveen

Sorry,

but there is no solution, the only information included in the rss feed is the author email but not the user name.

The only way is to modify the source and recompile the module.

If you like to do that for your personal use, open the file BlogFeed.ascx.vb seaerch the line:

 rssItem.Author = m_oBlog.SyndicationEmail

and change it as followed:

 rssItem.Author = m_oBlog.UserName
