While not wanting to get caught up in any arguements or discount any dnn modules  I would like to point out that I was not advocating the hacking of anything.

I was just trying to be a good DNNer and answer a few post (that I could).
I simply pointed out that a core team project member was using the Ventrian module as a blog and has written script to transfer date from the dnn module.   
To me this seems like a good idea as the core blog seems overly complicated.

By the way - there is no learning curve to the ventrian module - look for 5 minutes and its obvious

BETACAM thanks for the advice I am already a gold member at ventrian, and use some of their modules but haven't thought about using it the way you have offered :) thanks !
