Have you seen Bices's Map module? You can see it in action on on the PokerDIY players page. I will be extending this to Groups, Events and leagues, but this module is extremely flexible (and well written!).

My version of the Yahoo! Weather module will be posted (beta) by the end of the holiday weekend on my site.

  • Written in VB.
  • XSL used for transforming feed is an embedded resource.
  • View and Edit are AJAX enabled (must switch it on manually in module definitions due to a current bug not picking up the supports partial rendering tag in the .dnn file).
  • Measurement scale can be switched by users (AJAX).
  • The 3 different sections can be turned off/on in Edit.
  • Multiple locations can be defined in Edit, users can select from one of those locations.
  • Images are PNG based so transparencies work (IE 6 and lower do not apply).
  • More current details calculates wind speed and direction (via the XSL file).

Feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Did this Weather Module ever get posted?  I would like to try it out.

I'll put it back up after I get a chance to update it.

Thank you.  I need some alternatives to what is out there now.  The Oliver Hine Weather Module interacts with the new Jetkey Smartmap in such a way that it renders the page they're on almost useless.  I need options.

Thanks again.

Any change that it displays each users' local weather based on their region/state token? I am yet to see one that does that, if doable.
