Make sure to check the view permissions for the folder the icon in stored in as well.

Regarding the memory issue this sounds like a caching problem, does this happen with all modules or a specific one?

I discovered it on CFL, but do not have many other modules installed on the site, and have not specifically installed any to test if it happens.

Have you tried setting permissions on File Manager page? I wagely recall having to do that on one of the previous versions...

Sebastian,

I had no idea there was a new CFL version... I did not check the downloads section, was waiting for an announcement to be posted on the Forum. This is great news. I will upgrade and see if the problem goes away. At any rate, this problem started happening recently and I have been using the module for quite a while now...

I will check the permissions on the File Manager to to make sure permissions are set properly.
