Who does the site show as logged in? Does it just end up logging you back in as the user? Is the authentication line uncommented in the web.config? What happens if you comment it out again?

1) If I log in the sites simulates a succesfull log in, but no user is shown as loged in. For example, there is no admin or host menu... no username, so... it seems as you are not loged in.

2) When i configured the IIS virtual directory with Windows authentication i found another error: the login page status bar stays flashing as an indicator of an interrupted page loading.

The actual status is: i had configured the iis virtual directory with none anonymous acces, windows authentication and domain digest (directory security tab in properties of the virtual directory), i asigned a domain and when i want login with a domain user, dnn user (host for instance) o windows user... the load status bar keeps flashing and nothing happens. This is the way the web.config is configur

What do you think?

I had already tried with

<

identity impersonate="true" userName="domain\user" password="*******"/>
<authentication mode="Windows">
</
authentication>

Thanks.

I'd leave the <authentication mode="Windows"></authentication> commented out. There's a pinned post at the top of the forum that contains links to setting up Active Directory. Have you followed those?

<!--

add name="Authentication" type="DotNetNuke.HttpModules.AuthenticationModule, DotNetNuke.HttpModules.Authentication" /-->

And your final code should be seen like this:

<

add name="Authentication" type="DotNetNuke.HttpModules.AuthenticationModule, DotNetNuke.HttpModules.Authentication" />
